With over two decades of experience in the medical field, Misty Dockery brings a deep wealth of knowledge, compassion, and dedication to every patient she serves. Her journey began in 2005 as a Patient Care Technician while pursuing her nursing degree. In 2007, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Mountain Empire Community College with an Associate of Science in Nursing, earning a place on the Dean’s List. That same year, she became a licensed Registered Nurse.
Driven by a passion for growth and excellence, Misty earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree from King College in 2011, graduating Summa Cum Laude and making the President’s List. Balancing full-time work and family life, she continued her academic journey and completed her Master of Science in Nursing Degree at East Tennessee State University in 2017 with honors, also becoming a proud member of the International Honor Society.
In 2018, Misty achieved her Board Certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). Over the past seven years, she has served as a trusted medical provider and now holds an Autonomous Practice License in the state of Virginia. In 2024, she further expanded her clinical and entrepreneurial expertise by earning multiple certifications, including Medical Weight Loss, Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT), Men’s Health and Advanced Men’s Health, IV Therapy, and a suite of business certifications that strengthened her leadership and practice management skills. In 2025, she expanded her expertise by earning 2 certifications in Aesthetics, Botox and dermal fillers with extensive hands-on training further enhancing her ability to support clients’ wellness and aesthetic goals. Throughout her career, Misty has worked across a wide range of healthcare settings—including Oncology, Medical-Surgical (Med-surg), Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (CICU), Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), Palliative Medicine, Hospice, Home Health (as a Branch Manager), and Provider In-Home Evaluations—bringing a holistic and empathetic approach to patient care.
In 2023, she began laying the foundation for her dream practice, Peak Physique, which officially opened its doors in November 2024. Misty’s commitment to excellence, lifelong learning, and personalized care continues to set her apart as a leader in the healthcare profession.
In her spare time, Misty enjoys making memories with family and grandkids, camping under the stars, soaking up the sun at the beach, and hitting the trails at Jeep events. Whether she's at a concert, relaxing in the mountains, or spending time with friends, she finds joy in every moment. With a career rooted in compassion and driven by excellence, Dr. Johnnie Kay Carrico brings over two decades of healthcare experience to her role as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Her journey began in radiology as a receptionist and transport tech from 2004 to 2007, where she first discovered her calling to serve others. In 2008, she began her nursing studies, earning her Associate Degree in Nursing in 2011 and becoming a registered nurse.
Johnnie continued to advance her education and clinical expertise, graduating with her BSN from King University in 2013, followed by her MSN from Purdue University in 2017—where she earned highest honors. She became a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and went on to complete her Doctorate of Nursing Practice in 2023 with highest honors and a stellar GPA of 3.98, reflecting her unwavering commitment to excellence.
Her clinical background spans a wide range of specialties, including trauma ER, ICU, spine and joint care, medical-surgical units, and cross-departmental support from 2010 to 2018. Since 2018, she has served as a primary and acute care FNP at UVA Health, where she continues to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives.
In 2025, Johnnie expanded her scope to include aesthetic medicine, becoming a certified nurse injector for Botox and dermal fillers. She also joined Peak Physique, where she blends her clinical expertise with a passion for helping clients feel confident, empowered, and radiant.
Outside of her professional life, Johnnie is a vibrant soul who cherishes time with family, friends, and her beloved pets—a bearded dragon, two cats, and a cavapoo. She finds joy in jeep rallies, concerts, pageants, hunting, fishing, and staying active at the gym.
Johnnie’s philosophy is simple yet powerful: healing isn’t just about treating illness—it’s about restoring confidence, nurturing self-worth, and celebrating the whole person.
